Glatt Kosher for Passover Seders At Talia's Steakhouse & Bar, A Manhattan Kosher Restaurant - Chol Hamoed and Yom Tov Meals Are Also Available at Talia's During This Popular Jewish Holiday
On Friday April 19 at sundown, Jewish families around the world will take part in the Seder ceremony which marks the beginning of Passover 2019. During the feast, the biblical story of the Jewish people's slavery in Egypt will be retold as people remember how the people of Israel were liberated from Egypt in around 1300 BCE, following ten miraculous plagues. On Seder night, entire families join in the spirit as they remember this momentous event of more than 3300 years ago.
Talia’s Steakhouse and Bar will wow customers again this Passover 2019. For more than sixteen years, Talia’s Steakhouse and Bar in Manhattan has enabled Jewish families in the region to celebrate Passover with their friends and families. During the Jewish Pesach holiday, this popular restaurant at 668 Amsterdam Avenue, between 93rd and 92nd Streets, will serve prepaid Glatt Kosher Passover Seders, Chol HaMoed and Yom Tov Meals.
Since 2002 Talia’s, the number one glatt kosher restaurant in NYC’s Upper West Side, has been renowned for its prepaid Shabbat and holiday meals. During this significant holiday season, they will be open practically 24/7, serving four Passover Seders. They will also serve dinner and lunch during Yom Tov and Chol HaMoed so that guests will be able to relax over delicious, full-service meals without having to run themselves ragged at home.
“We're supporting the Jewish community on the Upper West Side,” explains Ephraim Nagar, owner of Talia's. “People travel from all over the world to see families and visit. If everyone is closed, where can they buy food?”
Talia's will offer Seder dinners on Friday and Saturday in two shifts per night, one at 5:30 and one at 8:30. Families can conduct their own Seders at their table, or take part in a communal version. Manager Adam Nagar encourages people to experience a restful, no-stress Passover celebration with the people they love. He says their doors are open to all Jews, irrespective of religious backgrounds, incomes, or levels of conviction and practice.
“If you’re interested in discovering how the Passover tradition started, you’re welcome to take part,” he says, adding that the Seder celebrations at Talia’s cater both for groups and for people on their own.
Talia's Seder feast consists of four courses. Guests can choose brisket, grilled rib-eye steak, Moroccan salmon, chicken marsala or lamb shanks, plus dessert. Each guest receives a full, traditional Seder plate with four cups of wine. There’s also a matzoh ball soup to suit all palates, and Talia's kosher bar offers additional cocktails, martinis and wines. In addition, Talia's features a full-service bar that is kosher for Passover.
To ensure all meals are prepared in accordance with kosher laws, the restaurant is run under strict rabbinic supervision. All holiday food is prepared in advance if it falls on Shabbat or Jewish holidays, and every meal is prepaid, to avoid the need for money to be exchanged. Hence advance reservations are essential, and no walk-ins are allowed. Two nights before Passover begins, a team will scrub down the entire restaurant to ensure not a speck of chametz (leaven) is left anywhere.

Talia’s is the place to go outside of Passover as well. If you’re in the mood for a romantic setting with candles and roses, it will offer you an unforgettable dining experience. But since space is restricted, reservations are essential for this too.
Other services offered by Talia’s include carry-out facilities and Glatt kosher for Passover on and off premises catering for big or small parties at a synagogue or home. Their friendly staff are on hand each day to help clients organize the details.
Pick-ups and deliveries are offered for restaurants and hotels interested in having doubled-wrapped glatt kosher packages delivered to their doors.
